Used eight hours a day, every day
No piece of furniture in the house works harder than a bed, and none is judged more by its headboard. The headboard is the part you look at; the frame beneath it is the part that decides whether the bed is silent in five years.
Everything here is made to order — your size, your wood, your finish — and storage can be built into the base at the time of making, which is far cheaper than wishing for it afterwards.
What actually matters, before the design does.
Almost every bed that creaks is telling you that a joint has worked loose. Properly cut and glued joinery in seasoned hardwood stays silent; screwed butt joints in soft timber begin to move within a year or two, and tightening them is a temporary cure.
The mattress is only as well supported as what is under it. Slats of adequate thickness, spaced closely, with a centre rail and a leg beneath it on anything from a queen upwards. Widely spaced thin slats sag in the middle, and the mattress is blamed for it.
Drawers in the base, or a hydraulic lift-up platform. The lift-up holds far more and suits a room with no space to pull a drawer out; drawers are simpler and have nothing to fail. Either must be designed in from the start, because the base is built around the mechanism.
Mattress sizes vary between makers in Pakistan, sometimes by two inches. We build the frame to the mattress you actually have or intend to buy, which avoids the gap at the foot that no amount of tucking will hide.
Tell us the mattress size you are using, the room dimensions and whether storage is wanted. Those three answers settle most of the design.
Every piece is built after you order it — your size, your wood, your finish.
